Homosexuality will not be tolerated within the Barbados Boy Scouts Association.
This has been reiterated by the Chief Scout Commissioner Dr Nigel Taylor in the wake of last week’s court appearance, on buggery charges, by the association’s caretaker.
Steven Ricardo Hinds, who had been living at the association’s Hazelwood headquarters, was accused of buggering a 12-year-old scout, between November last year and June 23 this year.
Taylor, who spoke to the SUNDAY SUN immediately following Hinds’ appearance, said: “My organization will not tolerate any practice of homosexuality in its ranks, whether boy scout to boy scout, leader to leader or leader to boy.”
Zero tolerance
