The Cabinet of Barbados has made an official decision to name the new polyclinic facility in St John after former Prime Minister, David Thompson. Minister of Health, Donville Inniss made the revelation last night while delivering his performance report at a political mass meeting at the Bay Street Esplanade. Inniss told the crowd gathered opposition Government Headquarters that when the facility is completed later this financial year, it will be officially named the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex. Inniss noted that completing the St John facility was of paramount importance to the Freundel Stuart administration, in order to ease the pressure off the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and allow Barbadians in the eastern part of the country to have access to modern health care without having to go to the country's main health care institution.
