Facilities in a mess

MEMBERS of the public are finding it difficult to use toilet facilities within the environs of St Michael because of foul odours.

When the MIDWEEK NATION did a quick tour to get feedback from users yesterday, the response was negative.

The set of public toilets for the thousands who use the River Van Stand day in and day out has become a source of distress for those who made complaints. These include commuters, public service vehicle operators and vendors.

Cologne vendor Gold Simeon said he believed that better could and should be done.

“This is a new year, man. Keep it clean with a fresh scent,” he said. (MR)
