The much-maligned Eagle Hall Market will be reviewed. And the architects and engineers behind the design will be summoned into a meeting with agriculture officials.
Word of this has come from Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Indar Weir, after he and a number of officials toured the facility on Friday.
“I will bring back in the architects and have a conversation with them and, if at all possible, the engineers. I must first understand what they were hoping to achieve and when I can do that maybe we can then work on developing it,” he said.
For years the market, which was completed in 2001 at a cost of $3.7 million, has been the brunt of criticism with many faulting its design and calling it ugly, while others cited its lack of security. (HLE)
