DEAR CHRISTINE,Greetings in the name of Jesus. I have a few things to say that are worrying me. I am wondering daily how mothers can shout and “bark” at their children, especially those under six years old? They use nasty language to the children and in front of them. I really would like these mothers – and fathers too – to love their children the way Jesus would. Stop beating them for foolish reasons and talk and explain things more. Show them what to do and be good examples for them. The other thing that bothers me is the many cleaning firms which are hiring people for minimum wage and for work which is not easy. It’s like slavery days in a modern day world.I would like the relevant Government officials to investigate this matter and help poor people more. It is not right that you have to make a sacrifice, leaving your family at nights, and still can hardly support yourself or them. Thank you, Christine, in advance for letting me have some space in your column.– B.O.A.Dear BOA,Unfortunately it seems that most of the mothers who curse at their children and in front of them are young mothers. The problem is that they have not been properly brought up and taught how to communicate and control their anger, so they explode on the children. And this cycle will continue when those children themselves have children.Parents today need guidance to help them train the children in the way they should go and set better examples. On the question of poor pay, if you feel you are being disadvantaged you and your colleagues can discuss this matter with a labour union or seek advice from the Government’s Labour Office.– Christine
