Regional airline LIAT won’t engage in a war of words with the union representing its pilots but will wait until former High Court judge Leroy  Inniss hands down his final decision in the arbitration between  the two parties. The pilots, while constantly threatening industrial action,  are seeking a collective bargaining agreement for the first time in  13 years, and have harshly criticised the airline’s decision to open  a base in Trinidad and Tobago. In a statement yesterday, LIAT corporate communications manager Desmond Brown said the company was disappointed the pilots continued  to raise issues before Mr Justice Inniss rules.
