Naomi ran away with Saturday’s feature race, the Michael Parravicino Memorial Hopeful Breeders Stakes & Trophy (Gr-II) over 1 570 metres for Barbados three-year-olds, at the Garrison Savannah.
Under the guidance of jockey Rickey Walcott on Realtors Limited Raceday, the Round Table Stud Farm’s filly made the 30th edition of the event look like an exercise gallop.
The Mark Armstrong trainee sat deep in the field behind some quick splits by Fastcash, Marie Aurore, Kitikat, Sydneyisasuperstar and Time After Time. By the time she reached the home turn, Naomi had cleared traffic and was taking aim at the front two. She was forced to go widest entering the homestretch but when she drew alongside Fastcash and Marie Aurore, it was clearly all over. (LY)
