Royal Westmoreland goes “Preferred”

BARBADOS’ LUXURY GOLF and residential resort Royal Westmoreland has signed on to a new partnership as it continues efforts to boost ownership and occupancy of its homes.

The St James resort has been added to Preferred Residences, a worldwide branding programme for luxury shared ownership resorts offered by Interval International, an operating business of Interval Leisure Group.

“As one of the most captivating properties in the Caribbean, Royal Westmoreland is a perfect fit with the Preferred Residences programme,” said Michelle DuChamp, Interval’s vice-president of business development.

“It offers exceptional vacation experiences through impeccable accommodations and personal service designed to exceed the expectations of discriminating customers.”

The shared ownership programme consists of four bedroom Caribbean colonial style villas featuring gardens, living areas, large designer kitchens and breakfast areas. Owners and guests will also enjoy an array of high end amenities.

Royal Westmoreland chief executive officer Greg Schofield, said “by aligning with Preferred Residences, we are affording our owners a wealth of value added benefits”.

“In addition to special privileges, owners will enjoy access to a distinctive portfolio of high quality resorts located in world class destinations,” he noted.

Preferred Residences said it “provides developers with a unique branding opportunity to promote their vacation residences to affluent customers”.

Owners automatically gain access to a select menu of vacation opportunities and benefits that will enrich their travel experiences. These include weekly and nightly vacation exchanges through a portfolio of luxurious resorts; preferential pricing at participating Preferred Hotels & Resorts properties worldwide; complimentary membership in Preferred Golf with access to the world most renowned courses; automatic enrolment in iPrefer, the Preferred Hotels & Resorts guest loyalty programme, which rewards members with points redeemable for free nights and other on property expenditures, elite status, and complementary benefits such as complimentary internet upon every eligible stay,” it added. (SC)
