DRAUGHTS CHAMPION Ronald “Suki” King is appealing to the public and the National Sports Council (NSC) to provide sponsorship for him and his club member, Wilma Branch, to attend a tournament in Italy.

“I used to get a fund from the Sports Council and a fund from the Tourist Board to help me travel,” King told NATIONSPORT.

“The position that I am at now is that I am getting some problems from the Sports Council. It is a situation where they want to send me back to the Barbados Draughts Association.”

King said that Branch, who is the number one female player in Barbados, has the same challenges as him. (JC)
