Barbadian Henderson Dottin will have to make another attempt to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games in the high jump.
Dottin was third at last Saturday’s JN Jamaica Invitational in Kingston, clearing 2.15 metres.
Donald Thomas of The Bahamas was first at 2.27 metres to set a new meet record and American Jamie Nieto was second with  2.24 metres.
Dottin needs to reach at least 2.28 metres for the “B” standard, while 2.31 is the “A” mark.
Andrew Hinds, who was scheduled to compete in the Olympic Development men’s 100 metres, was a non-starter. (SAT)
