Power outage

Residents in some parts of the island were plunged into darkness on May 31 for the second time in less than a week.

The power outage around 10:30 p.m. affected residents in St Peter. Reports reaching Nation News were that residents in St James, St Thomas and St Joseph were also affected.

In St Peter, power was restored in about two hours. Some residents in St Peter also reported a water outage which lasted a few hours.

A power outage last Thursday affected pumping stations in the north, resulting in water outages and low water pressure in some areas. (KG)
