After suffering a heavy 71-22 defeat by England yesterday morning at the World Youth Netball Championships, Barbados will take on Group A winners Australia at 12:15 p.m. at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow.
Two very poor offensive quarters in the middle of the match doomed Barbados who came out very flat. It was almost as though they were mentally beaten just by seeing the name of the opponent.
In those middle quarters, Barbados scored seven goals – three in the second and four in the third – to slip from trailing 9-15 at the end of the first quarter to a blowout 16-55 at the start of the fourth. (SAT)
