A hole in the Pine Plantation Road, St Michael, created some anxiety for motorists and pedestrians yesterday.

Many thought the opening was the beginning of a larger problem leading to a cave and took to social media to share it with their friends.

However, when a SATURDAY SUN team visited the scene yesterday, workers from the Barbados Water Authority were busy carrying out repairs to a 15-inch main.

Supervisor Ernest Small said it was not a burst but they were simply resetting a blown joint on the main. (LK)
