IN?A MOVE away from tradition, the late Archbishop Granville Williams will be buried within the precints of the Cathedral Church of Jerusalem at Ealing Grove.
His eldest son, Dr Aaron Williams, confirmed yesterday that the remains of the founder of the Sons of God Apostolic Spiritual Baptist Church would not be interred in a traditional cemetery but would be placed in a specially constructed tomb at the church’s Christ Church headquarters.
“Yes, we have gotten permission to bury my father at Jerusalem,” Williams told the DAILY NATION by telephone from Trinidad.
Williams, who over the weekend announced arrangements for viewing as well as a thanksgiving and funeral service, said they had been overwhelmed with the response to the death of Archbishop Williams, who passed away just over a week ago at age 90.
