MINISTER of Youth, Family and Sport Stephen Lashley is disappointed with the “obscene calypso music” this Crop-Over.“I am not impressed with some of this year’s calypsos,” Lashley said. “And I speak of the lyrical content which is, in some cases, obscene and overly sexually suggestive, and, in my view, not worthy of airplay.”The minister was speaking at the graduation ceremony of  The Lodge School on Saturday night at Grand Barbados Beach Resort.Lashley said songwriters and performers should come clean and project good examples to the young in particular. He urged Lodge graduates to denounce negativity in all its forms. (MM)
