PROMINENT businessman Elias Haloute is at the forefront of a private sector initiative in which more than 100 south coast lots will be on sale.
Haloute is director of Adams Castle Development Inc., which is offering 104 lots that will range between 6 700 square feet and 22 000 feet, with lots varying from $160 000 to $500 000.
At yesterday’s launch of Adams Castle Estate, Haloute said that downpayments had already been made on 18 of the lots.
Haloute said the sprawling new development would have underground facilities such as electricity, water, natural gas, telephone, cable TV and Internet. According to Haloute, all of these services and the paving of the road would be completed by April.
Haloute said the Christ Church development, which sits on 37 acres of land, was a quality product for persons to build their dream home.
Minister of Housing Michael Lashley gave Haloute and his team of directors, which includes his brother George and cousin Zack Nadur, the thumbs-up.
Lashley lauded the investors for showing deep commitment to the “continued growth and development of Barbados and, of course, confidence in this Government to safely lead this country through this difficult period”.
Lashley said this Government was looking forward to the start of construction in the very near future.
