Tuach 6th in world

CHELSEA TUACH continues to create surfing history for Barbados on the international circuit.

Competing at the World Surf League’s Women’s Qualification Series in Australia, Tuach reached the semi-finals and placed a commendable third out of 72 competitors in the prestigious Burton’s Automotive Women’s Classic.

This latest podium finish has catapulted Tuach to sixth in the world, the highest ranking ever by a Barbadian surfer at this level of competition.

Surfing with passion and commitment and showcasing her powerful, fluid style, Tuach won all of her heats going into the semi-final round with scores in the good to excellent range. (EZS/PR)
