The Sandy Lane Gold Cup is in town.
The prestigious Gold Cup arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport on British Airways flight 2155 at 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
Acting Minister of Sport Ronald Jones and Sandy Lane general manager Randall Wilkie were on hand to meet Captain Paul Murphy, who said he was delighted that British Airways was the carrier of choice for the Gold Cup, the big prize for the winner of the race slated for March 7.
This is the 15th year that the Cup has been flown from Gatwick on the 777 aircraft.
