Car crash kills mother

A St Philip family were plunged into mourning yesterday when one of their own died on the spot in an early morning accident.
Mavis Ward, 38, of Sargeant’s Park, Foul Bay, St Philip, was taking her walking exercise when she was involved in a collision with a car along Kirtons Main Road in the same parish.
Police reported receiving a call after 5:20 a.m. about the incident.
Ward’s 12-year-old daughter Moriah Ward and sister Michelle Drakes broke down as they identified the body.
