Air-tight

THE AVERAGE BAJAN who doesn’t have Multi-Choice TV (MCTV) still won’t be able to see live Olympics coverage. Not once cricket is playing.
The game of glorious uncertainties is assured of at least one thing: it won’t be taking a back seat to sport’s biggest arena as the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has made a decision to air the Olympics live on Channel 606 while cricket is being shown on TV8.
Acting general manager Rod London issued the statement via a Press release during last night’s CBC Evening News, saying “it’s been quite a challenge to satisfy stakeholders”.
According to London, the decision was made because CBC is required to broadcast cricket on free-to-air television due to the contractual agreement the local station has with the Caribbean Media Corporation.
