President of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) Walter Maloney says a meeting has been called for 2:30 p.m. tomorrow to officially inform the council of the medical condition of General Secretary Dennis Clarke who is hospitalised.
Maloney said the meeting will be held at the union’s headquarters in Dalkeith, St Michael.
He said that while Clarke was in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, there was still a need to officially inform and update the union’s council of his condition. He said the meeting would also look to put interim leadership plans in place.
Maloney said Clarke was taken to the hospital last Wednesday. (CM)
