Police seized more than 860 marijuana plants as they continued a ganja eradication exercise across the country yesterday.
Members of the Special Services Unit (SSU) discovered dozens of marijuana trees, some standing as tall as 14 feet in an early morning operation at Vaughan Road, St Joseph, and Long Pond, St Andrew.
There were no arrests but a police spokesman said yesterday’s seizure was an ongoing exercise by the SSU. He also urged Barbadians to report any sightings of strange activity in gully-like or heavily forested areas, especially in rural parishes.
