THE FUTURE OF renewable energy was up for discussion at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel recently as chief executive officer NEX-G Energy, Ronnie Persad, gave a lecture on the subject.
The head of the British-based energy company was in Barbados at the invitation of local solar energy business Innogen Technologies, with whom he will be partnering to offer energy solutions throughout the region.
Persad suggested that Barbados should take the lead in developing solar solutions optimized for the urbanized tropics. (NB)
