Murder accused remanded

Lloyd Allan Leacock has been remanded to HMP Dodds on a murder charge in connection with the brutal slaying of Patrick Douglas Barker.

The 47-year-old of Clifton Hall, St Thomas, was charged that sometime between February 12 and 13, he murdered 74-year-old Barker, who died in a bloody attack at his home in Walkes Spring, St Thomas.

Leacock was not required to plead to the indictable charge when he appeared before Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District “D” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He returns to court on March 26. ( RA)
