SCORES of Barbadian high school students today got a clear picture of college and university study options and funding possibilities in Canada.
The occasion was the launch of the first government of Canada education fair in Barbados, held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Representatives from more than 20 Canadian educational institutions as well as RBC Royal Bank were on hand to answer questions about the variety of courses available, their duration, cost and funding prospects.
During a tour of the fair Canada’s High Commissioner to Barbados Richard Hanley said Canada offered more than 10 000 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. He said Canada was home to a number of the world’s’ leading universities. (TY)
