Ambrosia, the flagship event of the Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival, again turned out to be a night of glamour and good food and spirits.
There were international chefs working together with some of Barbados’ best, serving up gourmet-style cuisine with a Bajan flavour.
This year the big party was moved from Lion Castle Polo Estate to Ilaro Court, official residence of the Prime Minister, and heavy rains early in the day did nothing to dampen the spirit of the 1 200 foodies who packed the tastefully-decorated marquee to sample the fare of leading visiting chefs and Barbados’ best.
It was fashionable affair attracting a cross-section of diplomats, business people and a host of young professionals who are a growing face at major events on the annual social calendar.
