THE MAN ACCUSED of causing Marva Ward serious bodily harm two days ago will be spending the Christmas holidays behind bars.

Thirty-nine year-old Wendell Nathaniel Goddard of #57 Cutting Road, Haggatt Hall,
St Michael, was yesterday remanded to HMP Dodds until January 8, after appearing before Acting Magistrate Alliston Seale in the Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The unemployed father of two daughters – one 11 years old and the other ten – was not required to plead to the indictable charge that he, with intent to maim, disfigure or disable Ward or do her some serious bodily harm, did in fact do her serious bodily harm on Wednesday, December 10.
