ALTHOUGH A LARGER NUMBER OF ATHLETES took part, the “usual suspects” still dominated the Athletic Association of Barbados (AAB) Odd Distances and Fields events yesterday at the National Stadium.
Sada Williams continued from the Saturday before by winning all of her events, signalling a possible points cache for her school Coleridge & Parry in the upcoming BSSAC.
Many of the other top athletes in schools and clubs also seized the chance to sharpen their techniques and work on their speed for the 2015 season.
Former standout distance runner Shakera Hall enjoyed her birthday with a victory in the 60-metre hurdles with her superiority in the event carrying her home in spite of a wobble at the start which threw her off causing a collision with three of the hurdles.
