Five horses nominated at the first subscription stage for the 34th running of the Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup on March 7 at the Garrison Savannah have dropped out at the second subscription stage, which closed at the Barbados Turf Club’s office last Friday.
Those out are Saffron Hall (US), Trini Boss (Trinidad and Tobago), Shared Adventure, Sarava Point, Dashing David and the now deceased Discreetwon.
That leaves a 12-horse field that has been boosted with the inclusion of a new Lewin Godding acquisition named Indiano Jones.
Formerly owned in Canada by John Oxley and trained by Mark Cassse, this gelding by A. P. Indy is out of Sharp Susan and has two wins at Woodbine Race Track from 16 career starts.
