Brathwaite worried about gambling

ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite has voiced concern about gambling in Barbados, saying “there’s probably too much” of it.

But he has dismissed the argument that casino gambling leads to an increase in crime and prostitution and attracts the Mafia.

He made the comments while contributing to debate in the House of Assembly on Tuesday on the Cruise Ships Opening Of Facilities (Amendment) Bill, 2015, which makes changes to the 2012 law legalising the opening of casinos and duty-free shops on cruise ships berthed in the Bridgetown Port.
