LIME $1/2m blow

Copper thieves have cost LIME $1/2 million and the company’s managing director Alex McDonald says every effort should be made to crack down on the perpetrators.
“It has hit us hard, no doubt about that. Copper theft has been a major worry. They have targeted isolated areas and no sooner a line has been fixed, they return.
“The police have stepped in and we have already had two convictions but we are still facing serious challenges,” he said.
Speaking on telephone link-up from Miami, Florida, yesterday, McDonald, said it had affected the quality of customer service in some areas.
