All eyes will rest predominantly on the featured Valentine’s Day Handicap over 1 570 metres at the Garrison Savannah when the Barbados Turf Club’s planned fourth day of its first season continues.

This race is expected to be lightning quick as two of next month’s Gold Cup contenders will clash in this race for four-year-olds and older horses rated 110-92 and open to those rated 91 and below.

The performance of Noble Intent, racing in the silks of owner and trainer John D. Chandler, will be keenly monitored. He is quick from the gates and has consistently done very well from in front once the track conditions are good or firm. He has one of the lowest ratings of those nominated for the March 7 pattern event.
