FAMILY AND FRIENDS of missing woman Karen Valdez Harris say they are thankful that the 49-year-old mother and wife was found alive at a house in the nearby district of Market Hill, St George.

Almost 24 hours after Karen Harris was last seen, causing anxiety to family and friends, she returned to her Rowans Park, St George residence about 7 o’clock tonight.

Harris’ disappearance sparked a search which began on Friday night after she was last seen on surveillance camera jogging in the area of the Gun Hill Signal Station, St George around 5 p.m. yesterday.

It continued perhaps in a scene not usually seen in Barbados as loads of persons converged in Carmichael Road, St George, by horseback, in trucks, in cars, on motorcycles, bicycles and with drone technology, all in an effort to find the woman. (GE)
