Businesses damaged

TWO BUSINESSES suffered heavy damage and a home was gutted when fire struck in Bridgetown yesterday morning.

The two-storey Crumpton Street building occupied by W. Roach Commercial Business Machines Ltd, a wall and timber home beside it and the metal workshop attached to the residence were ravaged by the fire.

Witnesses said the buildings were unoccupied at the time of the fire, which started around 10:45 a.m.
