BHTA monitoring beach feud

THE BARBADOS Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) says it is paying close attention to the public feud between operators of The Boatyard and water sports operators along Browne’s Beach.

But the association isn’t ready to step in and broker a resolution. At least not yet.

Instead, president of the BHTA, Sunil Chatrani, is asking for management of The Boatyard in Bay Street, St Michael, and the operators to start a mediation process aimed at solving the current impasse.

Three times this year there have been issues at the facility, with small business operators claiming they have been targeted for bad treatment by management of the beach club. (BA)
