Caribbean blessing

IT WAS GOSPEL Caribbean style as the first ever Caribbean Praise Fest came off at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium on Saturday.

The musical fare ranged from choirs to soloists to inspirational dancers and the small audience seemed quite happy with the mix, based on their reaction.

Coleridge & Parry Secondary School Choir backed by the school band under the direction of Marlon Legall set a high standard with Create In Me A Clean Heart, among other pieces. They set a solemn tone for the young worshippers from the New Dimensions Dancers who moved across the stage to Oceans by Hillsong United. They later came back in the second half and reminded the crowd that God Is Able.
