Building rum brand

MANAGEMENT of the St Nicholas Abbey Distillery will be putting greater focus on tourism and manufacturing to ensure maximum mileage for visitors.

Larry Warren, owner of the distillery that produces the St Nicholas Abbey-branded rum, said the two were disjointed so the focus was on combining the tours of the plantation house with those of the distillery.

“The concept of what we are doing here is integrating tourism with manufacturing and as a result the visitor gets a more meaningful experience and it becomes a model for bringing the best of what we have; bringing it all together,” Warren said.
