BTC talking drug ban today

THE BARBADOS TURF CLUB (BTC) is set to sit down and talk to all stakeholders about its proposed ban on anabolic steroids in local horse racing.

The BTC has scheduled a meeting for today in the Incitatus Lounge in the Grandstand from 1 p.m.

The proposed ban will be in keeping with the rules of the British Horse Racing Authority, which the BTC is aligned to.

In a previous interview with SATURDAY SPORT chief executive officer of the BTC, Rosette Peirce, said although an agreement has been reached in principle on the matter, the final decision will rest with the directors pending the open forum. (AT)
