Netball money drive

THE BARBADOS netballers are still gearing up for their three-match series against Jamaica in June but will need some financial assistance.

Coach Anna Shepherd told the SATURDAY SUN the airfare could be a headache as a ticket will cost around BDS$1 800 for each of the 15 girls they are planning to take.

The Jamaica association is looking after accommodation but in addition to airfare the Bajans have to take care of meals and per diem.

Both teams are using the series as part of their preparations for the forthcoming World Cup in Australia in August. (AT)
