THE BARBADOS Coast Guard is carrying out investigations into an apparent drowning.

Fisherman and well known beach lover “Opel” who frequented Brown’s Beach, St Michael, went diving for pot fish this morning, but never made it back to shore.

Opel and two friends went out in a Moses boat.

Long-time friend Nyiabhingi Rock of Dunlow Lane said they both enjoyed fishing.

Opel was said to be a man who cooked for many and some tourists even stopped for a sample of his food. (MR)
