COLUMBUS COMMUNICATIONS, Digicel and Cable & Wireless, which trades as LIME, have signed on to a landmark project which will bring benefits, including lower telecommunications costs.
The companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the project yesterday, which they said would also speed up delivery of data for Internet users and improve the security prospects for such information.
The MOU, signed at the Government’s Telecommunications Unit, Country Road, St Michael, relates to establishment of the Barbados Internet Exchange (BARIX).
