Milk smiles

DAIRY FARMERS are smiling.

The cows have been productive and people are drinking more milk. So much so, that production and consumption for the first three months of this year have exceeded that for the corresponding period last year.

And, said president of the Dairy and Beef Producers Association Brian Allen, should there be favourable incentives in the next month’s Budget, the smiles of dairy farmers would be even wider.

Allen, who was speaking to the Daily Nation, was extremely pleased with this year’s milk production.
