GOVERNMENT MAY have to postpone its July 1 deadline for the transfer of Customs & Excise Department employees to the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA).

A few additional weeks might be needed to sort out challenges associated with the controversial shift, Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler conceded yesterday.

“From what I have seen, there is a very strong possibility that we may have to push that back a few weeks in order to ensure that we get all of these matters properly ventilated and resolved.
