Bayshore sold

THE FIVE colourful chattel buildings once known as the Bayshore Complex have been auctioned and an international hotel brand will adorn the beachfront site on Lower Bay Street, St Michael.

Hyatt, the American chain, will be constructing two 12-storey towers where the old Harbour Police Station was located.

Stuart Layne, chief executive officer of the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTII), confirmed yesterday that the properties had been auctioned and that work on a hotel and product development initiative would start in the  near future. (MB)
