Bajans charged in major drug haul

THREE BARBADIANS have been arrested and charged in connection with the first major drug seizure of the year.
They are Winston Oneal Jones, 41, of Thornbury Hill, Christ Church; Jason Ricardo Barker, 30, of Goodland Main Road, St Michael and 29-year-old Edwin Bascombe of Enterprise, Christ Church.
They were jointly charged with possession, importation, possession with intent to supply and the trafficking of 607 pounds of cannabis which was seized, along with a 24-foot boat, about eight miles off Needham’s Point, St Michael, on Monday.
They are scheduled to appear in the District A Magistrates Court today. (PR)
