Seven accused remanded

THE SEVEN MEN accused of a series of serious crimes were remanded to prison until August 4 when they appeared in the District “A” Criminal Court 1 before Magistrate Douglas Frederick today.

Sharaad Jabarri Phillips, Joel Omar Straker, Damien Shavaine Proverbs, and Nathaniel Renaldo Robinson have been charged with robbing three people, including the operator of Monsta Grill Bar Elvis Graham, of $12 335 on June 18.

Phillips is also charged with causing serious bodily harm to Graham with intent and using a firearm on the same date while Joel Hunte has been charged using a firearm.

Also among those charged is Kemar Peter Jamar Ward who is jointly charged with Phillips in the June 6 murder of Sean Jordan.

All the above accused live in Parish Land, Christ Church.

Meanwhile, Romario Antonio Hope of Lammings, St Joseph and Phillips face a joint charge of aggravated burglary in relation to a March 7 shooting.

The men are also scheduled to appear in the District “B” and “F” Courts on July 15 and 17. (CC)
