THE BARBADOS DEFENCE FORCE SPORTS PROGRAMME (BDFSP) are in prime position to retain their Digicel Premier League crown.

The BDFSP dismissed Direct TV Paradise 4-0 to take sole position at the top of the table after the latest rounds of matches at the Wildey AstroTurf on Thursday.

Title challengers the University of the West Indies (UWI) scuffed a two-goal lead as they drew 2-2 with fellow title candidates Weymouth Wales.

A brace from Kyle Gibson gave the BDFSP a solid platform on their way to victory. Gibson got on the score sheet in the 24th and 47th minutes.

A 32nd minute own goal, along with Romario Harewood’s 12th league goal in the 62nd minute, completed the score card. (ROG)
