BARBADOS maintained a winning streak in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions when the team competition of the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships continued on Wednesday at the Barbados Squash Club in Marine Gardens.
The Bajan lasses defeated the Cayman Islands 3-2 while the boys defeated Bermuda by the same score.
Twins Jodi and Jada Smith-Padmore tried their best in their Under-19 matches against Lara Conolly and Mischa Kluyver but both still lost 3-0. Jodi was beaten 2-11, 5-11, 9-11 by Conolly, while Jada went down 5-11, 3-11, 4-11.
Chelsie Samuel put Barbados on the winning path with a relatively easy 3-0 win over Lauren Fullerton in their Under-13 match. Samuel, the Under-13 girls’ silver medallist, won 11-5, 11-3, 11-2.
