Junior squash queens

IT WAS A WHILE in coming, but Barbados are now the queens of junior squash.

And they usurped their long-time rivals for the crown too.

Eleven years of hardship and heartbreak are finally over, as the Bajan lasses finally beat perennial powers Guyana yesterday for the Junior Caribbean Squash Championships’ girls’ team title at the Marine Gardens.

They weren’t too bashful over their achievement either, proudly posing in front the cameras just moments after the historic team victory. (JM)
