BWA lift

IN THE NEXT two years the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) should be clear of its debt.

This was announced by Minister of Water Resource Management Dr David Estwick during the official handover of the mains programme in the BWA/Ionics project yesterday.

Estwick told officials gathered at Birdies on the Green Restaurant, at Rockley Club, Christ Church, that the BWA was on its way to being independent of central Government.

“We are confident that within 18 months to two years, the BWA should move from being in the red to being in the black permanently,”he said.
